There is no denying that 2024 was a bad year for the Crue, losing the first battle in the ongoing legal war versus ex-guitarist Mick Mars, along with getting busted using backing tracks at smaller venue gigs, plus having “cancelled” their long awaited new full-length studio album (16 years in the making), due to being exposed for using AI to generate their music. Is there a better future ahead for the glam metal band – other than the local state fair and casino shows? Rumor going around is that Crue leader and bassist Nikki Sixx “plans on returning to the recording studio working on a what might be a back-to-roots album to put the Crue back on top again.”
