Twenty-seven years after a tragic incident led to their breakup, Louisiana sludge metal legends ACID BATH has announced that they will be performing once more at the new Sick New World festival in 2025. A statement from the band reads as follows:
“The Bath will return April 12, 2025 at Sick New World Festival. Our heads are literally EXPLODING! We’ll be playing select songs from our two full length LPs. See you there fiends, let the blackness roll on…..
“Sammy Duet, Dax Riggs and Mike Sanchez a/k/a Acid Bath.”
The 2025 Acid Bath has been reported as:
Sammy Duet: Guitars, Vocals
Mike Sanchez: Guitars
Dax Riggs: Vocals
Alex Bergeron: Bass
Zack Simmons: Drums
Acid Bath released their debut album, “When The Kite String Pops” in 1994, followed two years later by “Paegan Terrorism Tactics.” In 1997, bass player Audie Pitre was killed, alongside his parents, by a drunk driver and the band subsequently disbanded.
Sick New World will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 12th. Other bands confirmed for the show include Metallica, Ministry, Down, Testament, Exodus, Carcass and many more.
