The former 80s child actor made his foray into the rock world a legit one once he booked a slot as an opener for LIMP BIZKIT later this year. Now word is that Feldman wants to be taken seriously by heavy metal fans and he believes he can win everyone over. He is so confident, that Feldman threw his hat into the mix of people who could sing for PANTERA should vocalist Phil Anselmo get fired for a racist outburst he made several years back.
Now the word coming out of Feldman’s camp is that he wants to front the heavy metal band SLIPKNOT, since learning that vocalist Corey Taylor is having “mental issues” and needs a break.
The industry source close to Feldman says: “Corey thinks he is a real game changer if someone else could just see past the child movie star and Michael Jackson jokes. He loves heavy metal, really would love to front ‘Pantera or a band like Slipknot’, and never really told too many people before out of feeling too inferior to those artists. That was a long time ago and now Fred Durst is giving him a chance, and he just wants a fair shot like anyone else would get in life.”
LIMP BIZKIT and Feldman will kick off the Loserville tour on Rocket of TMD’s birthday AND Corey Feldman’s on July 16th and they plan to shake things up by unleashing the magic that is the second coming of Michael Jackson.
Limp Bizkit will keep “Rollin’” into 2024 with the newly announced Loserville Tour. The summer trek across the U.S. will see the iconic nu-metal act joined by a wide range of openers including actor-musician Corey Feldman, rapper Bones with Eddy Baker and Xavier Wulf, and N8NOFACE with rapper Riff Raff serving as MC at each show.
The Loserville Tour will include previously announced festival appearances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple before a two-month run of outdoor amphitheaters throughout the country. Limp Bizkit will kick the tour off in earnest on July 16th in Somerset, WI, playing familiar sheds in Tinley Park, IL (7/20), Noblesville, IN (7/21), Bethel, NY (7/26), Mansfield, MA (7/31), Tampa (8/7), Dallas (8/13), and more before wrapping in San Bernadino, CA (8/24).
