Scott Stapp’s New Solo Album Produced by MÖTLEY CRÜE And Vince Neil Composer/Producer, Debuts 2nd Single “What I Deserve”

CREED and ex-Art Of Anarchy vocalist Scott Stapp has revealed a March 15th release date for his fourth solo album “Higher Power“. Napalm Records will be releasing that effort, which was produced by Marti FrederiksenScott Steven and Stapp himself. Frederiksen has also helped compose MÖTLEY CRÜE music on NEW TATTOO and SAINTS OF LOS ANGELES albums, plus produced Vince Neil’s last solo album, where he also contributed to songwriting.

Believe it or not, Stapp is rumored to be helping producer Bob Rock recreate Vince Neil’s singing voice with AI technology for the new Crue album, despite turning down a full-time role singing for the Crue and has since announced he is reuniting in 2024 for concerts with CREED.

This all comes amid ousted Crue guitarist Mick Mars who is suing the band for what he feels he deserves as a founding member of the band, who has subsequently been cut off from most of the profits of The Stadium Tour.

It’s said that Stapp is the reason that Sixx and Kovac put a stop to the release of Mick Mars solo album, once Stapp and Frederiksen tipped Sixx off that some Mick’s songs they heard off Mick’s debut solo project were actually some unreleased Crue tunes originally meant for one of their albums. The story goes that Sixx and Lee removed Mars’ playing off the past 3 Crue albums, so these songs might come partially from this period, and that is why there is so much drama about the Mars solo release.

The second single from the Stapp solo release, “What I Deserve“, arrived online yesterday (October 11th) and finds Stapp joined by guitarist Yiannis PapadopoulosStapp himself said of it:

“We all want back what we give. ‘What I Deserve’ is about two people understanding who they are individually and coming to a place where they can express exactly what they each want, need, and deserve.

Pre-orders are available through lnk.to/SCOTTSTAPP-HigherPower.

Stapp also spoke of the album:

“‘Higher Power‘ was born out of never ending consequences with triggered, yet naive defiance. It’s the realities and realizations of being human in this experiment we call life – holding onto hope in the dark waiting for the light.”
