CREED‘s lead singer Scott Stapp says that the band “Doesn’t have any shows planned for after ‘Summer of ’99’ Cruise. It’s baby steps.”
Stapp spoke to Jason Bailey of Audacy Check In about the group’s recent announcement that they will definitely be reuniting as TheMetalDen.com first reported earlier this year. They will reunite for their first show in 12 years in 2024, when Stapp and his bandmates set sail as the headliners of the “Summer Of ’99” cruise next April.
The original confirmation of a CREED reunion dropped by TMD months back has racked up over 270,000 views on TikTok.

Asked how the CREED reunion finally came about, Scott said: “That was something I think managers were talking about for a long time before the artists were approached. And so, then we were approached, and everyone signed on. We thought it would be a good way to kind of kick things off and see what happens.”
The heavy metal press has been notified that in quote: “Mr. Stapp will not be fielding any questions about his possible involvement with any other bands.”
Stapp has long been rumored to be working with MÖTLEY CRÜE as a “ghost vocalist” on their new studio album, the glam band’s first in over 15 years. Word is that Stapp turned down a full-time role with the Crue so he can still reunite with CREED in 2024, but word is that he did agree to secretly help recreate Vince Neil’s singing voice with AI technology.
***UPDATED 10/19/2023 – A 2nd CREED “Summer Of ’99” cruise gig has been added. Scott Stapp has a new solo album dropping now that is produced by MÖTLEY CRÜE songwriter and Vince Neil producer Marti Frederiksen.
Check out more coverage on Rocket’s reporting of this topic via That Classic Metal Show which fully explains how singer’s today can be switched out with another singer using AI technology (but it still sounds like the first vocalist), with the goal to deliver the best AI version of Vince Neil to the fans as possible.
