Since the news hit the internet today, hundreds of fans immediately started writing their messages of condolence on the Crue’s Facebook page, expressing their sadness that the talented 62-year-old singer and musician was dead.
The troubled singer battled chronic alcoholism and ditched the last attempts at getting sober prior to kicking off the Crue’s twice postponed comeback with The Stadium Tour. Ex-Crue limo driver Al Bowman had commented that Neil when he last interacted with him “was drinking himself to death”.
A rambling and drunkenly incoherent Neil infamously made a Cameo video three years ago, and the singer could barely speak the words he was paid to say properly due to his excessive binge drinking.
“At about 11 a.m. ET on Saturday (July 29, 2023), our beloved singer Vince Neil passed away. Vince Neil was born on February 8, 1961 in Hollywood. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”
Neil was known to be a nice guy but also had a fiery temper, purportedlty beating up drummer Tommy Lee last year at the Crue’s final rehearsal before their comeback tour, when Lee fat shamed the singer by calling him “Vince Meal” repeatedly.
It’s said that the new Crue album (which will now be the final receord) will continue full steam ahead, due to the fact that CREED singer Scott Stapp was brought in secretly to help the band recreate Neil’s “lost voice” on their new studio album with the help of AI technology, believe it or not.
