The third annual Big Machine Music City Grand Prix has announced the lineup for the Freedom Friday Tribute Concert presented by Wesley Mortgage.
The all-star lineup will feature artists Vince Neil (MÖTLEY CRÜE),Brian Kelley (FLORIDA-GEORGIA LINE),Chris Janson, Gavin Degraw, and other special guests along with SIXWIRE on Friday, August 4 at 7:00 p.m. on the Zyn Main Stage on the Nissan Stadium campus. Local media personality Kelly Sutton will serve as the event emcee.
Other artists slated to perform during the day are AMERICAN BLONDE, Jillian Cardarelli, Connor McCutcheon, Ryan Griffin and Zoee on the iHeart Music Stage located in the Fan Zone.
Neil, the most troubled singer in rock history, did not fare so well the last time he was out touring solo, including him quiting during the middle of a Crue classic and saying “My voice is gone” and drunkenly falling off the stage at another gig and busting ribs. The singer, lovingly referred to as “Vince Meal” by drummer Tommy Lee has faced accusations of lip-syncing at all of Crue’s concerts, according to the band’s ousted guitarist Mick Mars.
A spokesman for the Neil’s next solo event responded to TMD’s inquiry as to whether or not Neil would be singing for real at the concert or relying on pre-recorded tracks. The response TMD got back was: “Yes, Vince swears he really will be singing for real 100% at this show!”
The action-packed, three-day festival weekend features the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, along with Indy NXT, GT America, GR Cup, the Big Machine Spiked Cooler Trans Am TA2 Series and Stadium SUPER Trucks.
