TOMBS – Streaming New EP

Brooklyn metal act TOMBS have posted a full stream of their new EP, Monarchy of Shadows, which dropped on February 28 via Season Of Mist. The record can be heard in its entirety above.

There’s a line from Mike Hill’s audiobook/tour diary of Anodyne’s 2004 European tour in which the gravel-throated frontman affirms, “I will always outwork you.” In that case, Hill was referring to an incident in Germany early on during a six-week long overseas jaunt with his previous band. In actuality, however, he could have been talking about any instance between when he first picked up a guitar as a teen and the present...

OZZY – New “Legend Of Ozzy” Video Game

Ozzy Osbourne has released a new retro video game dubbed ‘Legend Of Ozzy‘. The browser-based endless runner game can be access over at legendofozzy.com. The game arrives in the wake of Osbourne‘s new studio album “Ordinary Man“, which saw a release earlier this month. With some downtime on his hand as he looks to address his health issues during the first half of this year, Osbourne has already been mapping out plans for another new album.

“Though many bands have succeeded in earning the hatred of parents and media worldwide throughout the past few decades, arguably only such acts as Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, and Marilyn Manson have tied the controversial record of Ozzy Osbourne...

ABORTED – Announce New Guitarist

ABORTED have announced the addition of guitarist Harrison Patuto (ex-Vale of Pnath) as an official member of their line-up. A play-through video featuring Patuto can be viewed above.

Patuto says: “It is with great pleasure that I announce my permanence within the band of Aborted. This past year has been a surplus of hard work and good times, as we performed a total of 82 shows together. There were big shoes to fill for me, but the dedication, effort, talent and kindness of the guys has made it all the more easy for me to feel at home. There are exciting things ahead, and I could not be more honoured to be a part of it.”

Vocalist Sven “Svencho” de Caluwe adds: “Since we parted ways with Mendel after the Hell Over Europe tour 2, we have been working on getting a more than stella...

WARBRINGER – Premiere “Firepower Kills” Video

Warbringer‘s new album “Weapons Of Tomorrow” is slated to arrive on April 24th via Napalm Records. In celebration of the record’s announcement, the band have unleashed a music video for the remastered/final album mix album of their latest single, “Firepower Kills“. Frontman John Kevill commented:

“‘Weapons Of Tomorrow‘ contains two tracks you’ve previously heard, ‘Firepower Kills‘ and ‘Power Unsurpassed‘, which now appear on the record in new and improved form. ‘Firepower Kills‘ is about advancing weapons technology. Modern science is an enormously powerful tool, and the human species must be very cautious about its use.

This song looks at the last 100 years of scientific advances in weaponry and asks, ‘where does this lead?’ Musically, it’s a ...

HAVOK – Debut New Single

Colorado-based thrashers HAVOK have released the first single from their forthcoming album, V, which arrives on May 1 through Century Media. A video (directed by K. Hunter Lamar) for new track “Phantom Force” can be checked out above.

Havok lead guitarist Reece Scruggs commented on the song: “Somewhere in the middle of writing ‘V’ we all came together and made the decision that we needed a full blown face peeler track. I remember David saying ‘Reign In Blood tempo’, so I came up with something almost immediately and sent it over to the guys. And aside from some subtle stylistic details it stayed pretty true to that original concept...

MR. BUNGLE – Enter The Studio

Earlier this month MR. BUNGLE jammed a handful of reunion shows, the group’s first live performances in roughly 20 years. If a new social media post is an indicator, Mr. Bungle are returning to recording for real. This is not a hoax… or is it?

Yesterday, the band tweeted an image of a recording studio console (you might notice that two of its channels are labeled “Trey” and “Scott”).

They did not mention any additional information.

“Mr. Bungle’s sound and approach is a unique mix of the experimental, the abstract, and the absurd (in other words, the finer things in life). It all began in 1985, in a small California town named Eureka...

BRUTAL ASSAULT FEST – More Bands Added

Brutal Assault is slated to take place in August, and the festival is still adding bands to its line-up. The latest addition includes the following bands: Baest, Birds In Row, Brutus, Gatecreeper, God Mother, Lost Society, Vitriol, Vola and Wolves In The Throne Room.

Brutal Assault receives vast amounts of accreditation requests each year and it’s simply not possible to grant them all. The same goes for photo passes, the photo pit has its limits. After we approve requests from our long-term media partners, we will start to sort all the other requests, starting with the bigger outlets. The most creative and supportive media of the smaller size have the best chance to get some of the remaining passes we have available.

If you are interested in cooperation, please contact us via e...
