American alternative metal act TOOL have scheduled two headliner dates next to their appearance in the “Big Day Out Festival” down under early in 2011. JAKOB band will be in support at the gigs. Here are the dates:

Atlanta (USA) sludge merchants, SONS OF TONATIUH are about to embark upon a fourth U.S. tour this January in support of their self-titled debut full-length. The mighty Hollow Leg from Jacksonville, Florida will be joining the band for the first three shows . After that, the band will be tearing its way across through New Orleans and back around through Shreveport before winding down in Chattanooga, Tennessee with the likes of Hot Graves, Death Before Dying, Car On Fire, Cognitive Dissonance, Currents and Black Pussy among others. “We’ll try and keep the church burning down to a minimum as we continually raise the dead of our ancestors through our witchcraft,” said the band in a collective statement. “So come out see what we’re all about and we’ll promise to deliver a good time.”

Den Headz, AOL Noisecreep is currently streaming “Sacrament Of Buyan,” the eighth track from KHORS’ latest full-length, Return To Abandoned, released last month via Paragon Records. On their fourth long player, the Ukrainian black metal horde yield the harsher, brooding sounds of earlier works whilst mixing in the melancholy and atmosphere of 2008’s unsung blackened gem, Mysticism. “Sacrament Of Buyan,” is based in Slavic mythology — Buyan is reportedly the only place where you’ll find “Koschei the Deathless” soul buried inside a needle inserted into an egg that lurks in a magical oak tree.

New Jersey (USA) death metal act GRIMUS recently inked a record deal with New York-based Innerstrength Records. Commented the band of the union: “We are pleased to announce our new deal with Innerstrength Records! They put out some great, quality, heavy underground music and we’re excited to be part of their growing roster. Be on the alert for GRIMUS coming to a venue near you as well as some new music next year.”
GRIMUS released their pummeling Gutter Earth EP earlier this year. The four-track offering was recorded and mixed by guitarist Marco Bobadilla and mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering.
