EXODUS – Download Warm Up Shows Announced

Bay Area thrash metal band EXODUS have announced they will be returning to U.K. soil in June for three performances.

They will be playing at Brighton’s Concorde 2 on the 7th of June and Southend’s Chinnery’s on the 8th of June. These two performances will precede an appearance at Derbyshire-based Download Festival the next day where Exodus will be headlining The Dogtooth Stage.

Vocalist Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza comments: “Exodus is very excited about returning to the UK!! Especially for the shows in Brighton and Southend, early last year we did an extensive tour of the UK, and our shows in Brighton and Southend were absolutely bonkers!! See you all in the pit in June.”

7th June – Brighton, Concorde 2
8th June – Southend, Chinnerys
9th June – Donington, Download Festival

The original architects of the thrash metal scene, EXODUS has battled every kind of adversity over the past 30 years and used it all as fuel to stoke their ever-raging fire. Short-lived trends, line-up shifts, label conflicts, even the death of founding vocalist Paul Baloff couldn’t stop the beast. And through it all, guitarist and songwriter Gary Holt has persevered with misanthropic indignation, rolling with the punches, reassembling the broken pieces and working with the eccentric personalities surrounding him to create some of the most trenchant, fast-paced, and unrelenting music that influenced everyone from Pantera to Lamb of God and continues to crush skulls at a time decades after most ‘80s thrash bands have retired.
