Oklahoma City progressive death metal act DISCHORDIA is eager to return to the road. The band has now officially announced The Wastelands Tour, slated to kick off March 9th through the 18th.
Booked to join the band on The Wastelands Tour is St. Louis group Quaere Verum who, like Dischordia, play a complex and difficult to categorize brand of metal. The sound overall is progressive, but the individual components within meld elements from death metal, mathcore, groove metal, rock, jazz, and more into a dense ball of unpredictable and experimental fury.
With two releases under the band’s belt thus far, Quaere Verum is currently hard at work on a new full-length album tentatively set for a fall 2017 release.
Drawing inspiration from such forward-thinking metal heavyweights as Decapitated, Meshuggah, and The Dillinger Escape Plan, Oklahoma City’s Dischordia brings a fresh perspective to the scene by combining tried-and-true US death metal brutality with far-flung ideas from a multitude of global influences. The band’s music-first ethos has been forged through years of stylistic refinement and questing for a sound to call their own.
