Swedish metal/crust punk outfit MARTYRDÖD – featuring members of Skitsystem, Agrimonia, and others – has just unleashed an official video for the track “Handlöst Fallen Ängel,” the track hailing from the band’s List album, which was released through Southern Lord in November.
Filmed and edited by Jimmy Johansson, also responsible for MARTYRDÖD’s recent “Harmagedon” video, the riotous live-filmed “Handlöst Fallen Ängel” has been issued.

There’s classic D-beat in their sound, and there’s also soaring, melodic death metal. The way they play it, the two disparate genres might as well be the exact same thing. And for those of us who have trouble with metal when it’s not at least a little bit punk, it’s the sort of thing where you find yourself involuntarily punching the air on first listen.” BrookynVegan offered, “MARTYRDÖD are no average crust punks… It breaks into a middle passage that’s slow and kinda beautiful, and eventually it brings in the kind of guitar solo you usually hear from NWOBHM and classic-thrash bands. It kinda deserves the word ‘epic.’ Dead Rhetoric’s 8/10 review includes, ” Adrenaline-surging stuff from start to finish, but the melodies therein will make sure you are at the utmost attention and continue to have the drive to keep listening again and again.
