SUPERJOINT – Anselmo Yells At Fan: “I Don’t Give A Fuck About Flags!” (Video)

Fan filmed footage has been posted online of SUPERJOINT performing the songs “Antifaith” & “Drug Your Love” in Houston, Texas back on 07.11.15. At the very start lead vocalist Philip H. Anselmo (ex-PANTERA) gets into a verbal confrontation with a member of the crowd near the stage who holds up the confederate flag for the singer to grab. Anselmo shrugs and looks at the flag in total disgust, blurting into the microphone:

“What do you want me to do with it? (Inaudible) I don’t give a fuck about flags! Flags can go fuck off. I fly with no flags! Fuck flags!”

Back in late June of this year, Anselmo was interviewed by Randy “Rocket” Cody of The Metal Den. When asked about the rebel flag controversy here’s what “The Kid” had to say:

“You know I didn’t invent the fucking flag. I was born in 1968. So I do see a lot of sides to this. I see where people can say, you know, when does it end? You know when is it good enough? When are we as a people ever going to be politically correct? The answer to that is really never. Because the world is made up of people with a lot of different ideas… telling us how to live and what we should do or shouldn’t do, you know? Or think or not think, you know, that’s pretty extreme… it’s like you’re never going to make everybody happy.”
