TMD has received new EXCLUSIVE details on the new HEAVY METAL film, which is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters in 2012. Expected to start production Summer 2010, the movie will be a $50 million 3D CG animated spectacle based on the magazine. This probably won’t have any stories from the first 1981 movie, however like the first one, it will feature around seven or eight different stories. Each segment will be directed by a different person. The official title to this movie hasn’t been chosen yet. This current title is just a placeholder. Coolest news of all, Den Headz… Rob Zombie has ‘tentatively agreed’ to direct one of the segments!
