Fans online are upset that ex-CREED singer Scott Stapp has cancelled his upcoming tour of the United Kingdom, which has begun to fuel speculation that the singer has indeed been tapped to replace troubled MÖTLEY CRÜE vocalist Vince Neil.
After TMD doubled down, breaking the news wide open two weeks before any mainstream news outlets that Crue guitarist Mick Mars was being ousted from the band to make way for a younger replacement, John 5, another tip came through that purported Crue’s Nikki Sixx had seen and heard enough of Neil’s horrendous vocal performance during the first 36 dates of the Stadium Tour.
First we heard that John 5 was going to replace Mick Mars in Motley Crew and this happened. Now there is chatter that Scott Stapp is going to replace Vince Neil. Will it happen? From what I have seen and heard, it should.

Fans were given more clues recently when word got out that Sixx has issued a demand to Neil to stop performing Crue songs with his solo band, followed by Neil actually cancelling his RokIsland festival appearance, using Covid-19 as a cover story for the singer dropping out of that gig and potentially any other solo dates on his calendar.
Word going around is that Stapp has been working closely the past several years with former Crue producer Marti Frederiksen, who also produced and wrote music for Vince Neil’s solo album “Tattoos and Tequilla”.
Frederiksen produced Stapp’s 2019 solo album and was reportedly originally introduced to the producer by Crue’s drummer Tommy Lee who has been locked in a bitter feud with singer Vince Neil going back to an alleged fight that took place between Lee and Neil during their final rehearsal before their big comeback tour begain, after Lee is said to have “fat shamed” Neil by calling him “Vince Meal” over and over.
Does anyone know why Scott Stapp cancelled his UK tour?? Cannot find anything online at all….
