Mick Mars is “Too Old” to be in MÖTLEY CRÜE, According to Drummer Tommy Lee (UPDATED)

This article was first published on October 20, 2022

TMD has been tipped off that the reason the Crue is considering replacing guitarist Mick Mars is because other members of the band feel he is too old to be rocking anymore.

Believe it or not, before the final gig of the Stadium Tour went down, the Crue had a meeting with all members present on 9/9/2022, and everyone was allowed to air their opinions. This is when a verbal spat broke out between Mick Mars and Tommy Lee. A source from inside the Crue’s camp claims things got so ugly during the two’s arguing that Nikki Sixx had to stop Mars from assaulting Lee with his instrument.

Lee, who allegedly used derogatory words in a similar outburst against singer Vince Neil during a prior band rehearsal when the drummer called the vocalist “Vince Meal” – took a really cheap shot at Mars by insulting the veteran performer about his age:

“You are too old to be in this band!”

The witness to the argument says that Mick wanted to cave the side of Lee’s head in with his guitar, but Sixx cut him off before the elder rocker could swing it at his head.

Now the rumor going around is that Mars has been replaced in the band by ex-Rob Zombie guitarist John 5, but nothing is being confirmed with the public for fear it will slow down ticket sales for the Crue’s newly announced 2023 world tour.

*UPDATED 9/19/2023: TMD was right again before everyone else. Mick Mars was indeed fired from the Crue officially in April of 2023, and his ousting was covered up by Nikki Sixx and the band, who Mars has now launched a lawsuit against for “ripping him off” and using backing tracks at The Stadium Tour last year.

Mick Mars has fully substantiated all of TheMetalDen.com’s LEGENDARY reporting with the shocking lawsuit he has filed against the band and confirmed that Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil and Tommy Lee all used backing tracks during The Stadium Tour.

Mars stated that he carried the band for years, and he will never speak to any of them ever again.
