MÖTLEY CRÜE’s Nikki Sixx On The Band’s Infighting “We’re like a gang – we will attack each other…” (UPDATED)

The biggest story in rock last year was the Crue’s drummer revealing he broke his ribs prior to the kickoff of The Stadium Tour. Sure, Tommy Lee’s wife gave her fake explanation for the injury, but the story continues to take on a life of its own, due to the real reason Tommy’s ribs got broken in the first place being so spectacular that it was covered up by the rest of the rock media, along with everyone in the band plus all of their family and friends, believe it or not.

In a previous interview about their big rock n roll comeback, the Crue’s Nikki Sixx went into details about the dark reality of the band’s ‘gang like’ attitude and intense hatred often displayed for one another. Sixx flat out states about their nonstop infighting “we’re like a gang – we will attack each other…”

“I’ve seen it on stage. I’ve seen it in bars…” Sixx said about the Crue’s members going at each other.”

He more specifically points to he and Lee’s on again off again relationship over the years, as being one of the reasons the Crue has not produced more new music in the past decade.

“Me and Tommy had not been talking to each other for a long time.”

Rumor: Vince Neil Tackled Tommy Lee (Breaking His Ribs) After Lee Body Shamed

As the Tommy Lee/Vince Meal fight story continues to snowball into a monster that is able to feed off itself, rock webzines and YouTube channels are having a field day with the purported brawl that is said to have gone down between Lee and Neil. Heavi channel featured TheMetalDen‘s sensational story, and it has already amassed over 70,000 views via Heavi channel on YouTube. The overall numbers for TMD’s shocking article are well over 1.5 million worldwide, which is more than the total number of people who will attend all 36 dates of the Stadium Tour.

***Update: 9/4/2023 – Tommy Lee was subsequently busted fake playing his drums late last year during the Crue’s comeback tour, and Mick Mars filed a lawsuit against his former band mates for “ripping him off” of his earnings from the comeback tour and exposing that Nikki, Tommy and Vince are all guilty of using pre-recorded tracks at all of the band’s concerts last year.
