After a triumphant birth in 2014, INCINERATION FESTIVAL returns for its second year bigger and better than ever. Scattered across Camden, the event will take place on Saturday 9th May across the areas most imfamous venues: The Black Heart, The Underworld and The Electric Ballroom closing the night off with an afterparty at Devonshire Arms.

Be ready to party from dawn to dusk as kicking off at midday sees melodic black metal act Woland, blackened thrash quintet Premature Birth and death metallers Codex Alimentarius opening up the stages for the day.

The Electric Ballroom will be packing some serious punches as they line up some of the biggest extreme bands from Europe. Underground favourites Aura Noir take an early slot. For those who are seeking some aggressively black psychedelia, Oranssi Pazuzu are not to be missed while later in the day catch Shining or God Seed for something a bit more traditional. Love or hate latest album Shelter, Alcest’s co-headline slot brings the stage to a close with some of the finest shoegaze on offer.

Not to be outdone, the Underworld also packs in some serious filth as Germans Endstille and Finish Impaled Nazarene prepare to spit out some of the nastiest black metal to be found that evening, while Necrophobic and Unleashed hit the gutterals to finish the stage with some out and out death.

The Black Heart may be small but it’s not to be ignored as Essex based crusty black metal band Jotnarr return to the London scene. It’s a touch of the ambient as From the Bogs of Aughiska return to emerge the crowd with their sinister atmospheric soundscape. Those looking for more extreme brutality, catch some of Manchesters finest offerings in the form of grind masters Foetal Juice or stage headliner Ingested.

As the music wraps up at the main venues, don’t stagger home to quickly as two of the finest home grown British talent take to the stage at the Devonshire Arms in the form of Glaswegian death metal quartet Scordatura and London based black metallers Sidious.

Tickets are available via the festival website. With the previous year selling out make sure you don’t wait too long to get your ticket.
