Mick Mars “Almost Left” MÖTLEY CRÜE During The “Generation Swine” Sessions: “I hate that album!”

Mick Mars stated once that he almost left MÖTLEY CRÜE during the “Generation Swine” sessions and that still to this day, he ‘hates that album’.

Word is that Mars actually did not retire from the Crue after The Stadium Tour, and fans were fed a false narrative by Sixx and Kovac, but the truth is that he showed himself the door, after being totally disgusted with vocalist Vince Neil being so out of shape and drunk most of the time that he needed to lip sync at all of the high-profile comeback concerts.

Mick was being kept off Crue albums in the past two decades because of his infighting with Nikki Sixx, who felt that Mars was trying to take control of the band.

According to DestroyerofHarmony sites;

“Generation Swine” had two major things. The return of Vince Neil and the move to an industrial electronic sound. It was meant to be called “Personality #9” with John Corabi on vocals.

Record label pressure won out in the end and Vince Neil was back in, yet reality is that Corabi’s album outsold Generation Swine.

Mars is said to have launched his lawsuit against Sixx and the Crue for “ripping off his profits” and because he says that Sixx, Lee and Neil were “deceiving fans” by using backing tracks for main instrumentation, backing and lead vocals at all of The Stadium Tour concerts.
