One of the metal world’s top news sites, Blabbermouth.net, was down for a couple days
recently, but is now back up and running. Enter the great parody site entitled: Heavymetalcomedy.com, in which -during Blabber’s down time – cranked out what has to be the funniest damn article of the year.

Site Maintenance Has Dave Mustaine on Suicide Watch
ARIZONA–‘Roadrunner Records is down for maintenance. We’ll be back shortly!’ Those ten words greet each visitor as they connect to Blabbermouth, the definitive source for heavy metal news that is true. It is also a site Dave Mustaine visits 38 times a day, hoping to see his own name. The site’s maintenance has dropped Mustaine’s name on Google Alerts from 45 to 3 per day, a fact that has the egotistical Megadeth mainman in the doldrums.
“I have never seen him this bad,” said Megadeth guitarist (as of this printing) Chris Broderick. “Every day, like clockwork, Dave wakes up, brews himself some Mustaine coffee, and feverishly Google his own name. But this maintenance issue is taking its toll.”
Mustaine has taken to the Megadeth forums to vent but without Blabbermouth systematically re-posting the Mustaine messages, said messages are not being read. Roadrunner is trying to be sensitive about the issue and has created a hotline for artists to call if they are feeling depressed about not seeing their name in glorious online print. Thus far, the phone line has been tied up with repeated calls from Sebastian Bach’s suburban New Jersey home.
