Slipknot are making plans to celebrate the release of their breakthrough self-titled album which is approaching it’s tenth anniversary. Rumours have been circulating around that the masked band will be launching a special tour with the old masks making a return and the band returning to the iconic red boiler suits they wore on that tour. It’s also expected that they’ll play the album in its entirety. What is for certain is that the band are working on a special DVD to commemorate the occasion. Percussionist Shawn Crahan posted on his Twitter account: “Working on the special ten year package for Slipknot today, I have been editing a DVD together. Wait until you see this stuff!”
Slipknot will be the headliner at this year’s Download festival.
Download will take place on June 12th – 14th at Donington and will feature sets from Faith No More, Slipknot, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, The Prodigy, Limp Bizkit, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, Korn, ZZ Top, Down, Killswitch Engage, Journey, Clutch and many, many more.
