Bob Rock Enlisted Vince Neil’s Son, To Help “Recreate” His Father’s Voice In The Studio

MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s long awaited new studio album, fifteen long years in the making and the first not to include Mick Mars on guitar, has reportedly been completed with the help of Artificial Intelligence plus “ghost performers” to compose and perform the music fans have been anticipating for a long time.

As the story goes, the Crue’s producer Bob Rock purportedly decided to add another weapon to his arsenal in the studio when trying to figure out the best way to recreate Vince Neil‘s once youthful singing voice from the 80s, despite the fact that the rotund singer can no longer sing anymore and needs to lip-sync along to pre recorded tracks at all of Crue’s concerts, according to ousted guitarist Mick Mars, who said that most of The Stadium Tour was fake live musicianship, except for himself.

Word is that former Crue producer Marti Frederiksen suggested ex-CREED singer Scott Stapp to be a “ghost vocalist” for the Crue, and apparently Stapp did oblige the request to help hit some high notes on the Rock helmed record, although in the end, it really all boiled down to keeping things in the family.

The next call Rock made was to the son of Vince Neil.

Neil Vince Wharton is bona fide rock star in the making. He sounds almost identical to the 80s version of his old man when the Crue was in their heyday, and NVW has killer stage moves and attitude that is eerily reminiscent of a younger version of his dad.

Check out the jamming footage below of Vince’s son covering the Crue’s classic song “Kickstart My Heart”.
