Los Angeles based metal act FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH had reportedly been missing their guitar player Zoltan Bathory for the past few days since a September 18th gig in Las Vegas. The band sent out this
frantic plea to the media:
“We have not been able to locate Zoltan from 5FDP since Friday night’s show in Las Vegas. He has not responded to calls, text messages, or emails, and he was last seen around 2:00am Friday night (Sep 18th) at Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Casino, taking tequila shots at the bar with a group of guys from a bachelor party who came to the show.”
Maybe somebody else out there also finds all of this rather suspect when at the same time the band is releasing a new album War Is The Answer today in the U.S. via Prospect Park/Spinefarm Records. Oh, no… his going missing was in no way a publicity stunt to try and draw in as many people to their music by way of some last minute PR stunt.
Here’s what Bathory tweeted this morning on Twitter:
“All is good just lost my phone and had a little bit of too much Vegas.”
And here’s the plot from the recent motion picture entitled The Hangover starring Bradley Cooper.
The Hangover: The main plot follows four friends who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, only to wake up the next morning not remembering a thing and missing the groom, whose wedding is scheduled to occur the next day.
Yup, there’s no way in Hell this was a publicity stunt…
based off a lame movie plot.
