This year’s Jalometalli has once again witnessed a record crowd at Club Teatria in Oulu. Fortunately, the worst rain clouds took a detour and avoided the festival area for the most part, and the atmosphere at the festival has yet again been magnificent.
Even though this year’s festival memories are still fresh on everyone’s mind, next year’s festival is already the topic of many discussions because of the news on the main act of Jalometalli 2009! Without further ado, we are proud to tell you that the main act for next year’s festival is no less than the cult favorite Voivod, playing their first ever gig in Finland next summer!
Founded in 1982, the repertoire of the Canadian legends includes several musical elements, such as heavy metal, thrash and progressive influences. The band has promised to throw a couple more gigs around the world, and Jalometalli 2009 is proud to host one of the last shows of the legendary band.
