Gate Three starts as a project when guitarist Paolo Serughetti, back to Italy from Los Angeles, decides to become a solo guitar player. Soon he begins collaborating with many artists and in 2006 the first Gate Three album entitled "Rock Fucking Blood" is released during the same year and he is joined by Andrea Mastrigli (bass), with Federico Paulovich (drums) to create a highly virtuoso and powerful show to bring the album live onstage. These two musicians had different musical backgrounds and brought to the project just what Paolo was looking for. The band plays a lot of live shows and performs its instrumental compositions at some of the most important Italian venues. In 2006, Federico Paulovich is replaced by Andrea Carminati, a very young drummer who fits perfectly into this instrumental project.

In 2007, Andrea Mastrigli meets John Macaluso, and this strong collaboration leads Gate Three to create a new EP. They decide to ask Mike DiMeo to join the project, a talented singer truly willing to help. That's how "Hidden Dreams" was born."Hidden Dreams" was recorded in New York and in Italy.
