Den Headz, PANTERA has announced via Facebook that the band’s name being placed within a mock poster for 2013 Sonisphere UK is nothing more than a hoax done by a fan. Following the cancellation of 2012 Sonisphere UK, this kind of mind blowing arrangement would certainly be the shot in the arm the event needs.
Here’s the official statement from Pantera camp:
“HOAX ALERT: The Sonisphere 2013 poster is a hoax. Pantera are not playing or reuniting.”

The buzz in the media as of late has everyone from Chris Jericho to Vinnie Paul himself stating for the record that if anyone was going to fill-in for Dime during a handful of tribute reunion shows it would be none other than Zakk Wylde, who was a very close friend of Dimebag’s.
Zakk Wylde had this to say to Billboard back in May when asked about possibly jamming with the surviving Pantera members for some one-off Pantera shows:
“I love all those guys. It would be an honor. How could I say no? I’d do my best to make them proud.”
