NAPALM DEATH<\/strong> vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway<\/strong> hurt his right ankle at a show on their “Campaign For Musical Destruction 2023” European tour in Munich, Germany on February 19. Since then he’s been playing the rest of the shows sitting down on a chair at the front of the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenway talked about his latest injury during their Paris concert on February 26, a full video of which can be seen below. He also explains that Shane the bassist had an “emergency” also and that is why they only played as a 3 piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is what\u00a0Barney said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“[I] broke an ankle on stage in Munich seven nights ago. So I’ve got another five fucking weeks in this thing, but I’m gonna make the fucking most of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needless to say, there may have been an option for me to not do the gigs, but that is not what I do or what I don’t do. I wanted to go [and play the gigs], and that is it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
