The video of “Discrimination”<\/strong>, the first single taken from “Grind Hotel”<\/strong>, the new and forthcoming album by Italian death metallers ABBINORMAL<\/strong>, is available at this location<\/a>. The album will be available on all digital platforms and in Digipak CD format sometime next spring via Ad Noctem Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recording sessions took place at the Ironape Studio<\/strong> in Vigevano, under the guidance of Federico Lino<\/strong>. Mix and mastering have been handled by Carlo Altobelli <\/strong>(BULLDOZER, EYEHATEGOD, DISTRUZIONE, BLASPHEMER, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, HUSQWUARNAH) and his own Toxic Basement Studio<\/strong>.
For the making of the video, filming and editing, the Milanese band worked with Maurizio Del Piccolo<\/strong>‘s Moviedel Productions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABBINORMAL<\/strong>‘s sound is brutal, aggressive and psychotic, clearly influenced by some of the genre\u2019s greats, but rich with personal details and nuances that help define the band\u2019s own trademark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band\u2019s frontman, Eric Vieni <\/strong>comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a song I’m particularly fond of: we wrote it during the pandemic. Life was hard those days, I found myself reflecting on how it was possible that even in such a difficult moment some people preferred to build walls of intolerance, blaming each other and just being negative.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I deeply hated that absurd and unreal situation; over time I decided to transfer this negative energy into music. The process became such an important outlet, a salvation. I wanted this song to be irreverent and violent. I hope you like it too\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cover artwork is by artists Davide Scianca<\/strong> and Benedetto Pillon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
