TMD’s readers have\u00a0recently read<\/a>\u00a0there has been a rumor circulating in the industry that\u00a0the Crue’s Mick Mars is no longer in the band. It’s said that John 5\u00a0<\/strong>will be replacing\u00a0Mars<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, this rumor sadly turned out to be true. The former Rob Zombie shredder, who is 19 years younger than Mars, is now said to be the Crue\u2019s new lead guitarist. Well, so says rock reporter Jason Green<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, that\u2019s right, John William Lowery is a member of\u00a0M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mick Mars, 71, is not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the story goes, Glam website Metal Sludge <\/strong>(owned by Stevie Rachelle <\/strong>of Tuff <\/strong>fame)\u00a0<\/strong>“had collectively heard this rumor from 3 different industry sources” before reporting it, and “1 of those was in fact\u00a0Jason Green<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0who we have been given his all clear to name him as 1 of our sources.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the word from Green:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr.\u00a0Green<\/strong>\u00a0has come out and stated:\u00a0\u201cA lot of people are tuning in right now for the hot ahh, rumor\u2026 story, I am not saying it\u2019s a rumor, I am reporting it as fact. That\u00a0John 5\u00a0<\/strong>will be joining\u00a0Motley Crue<\/strong>\u00a0for their upcoming foreign tour.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Green<\/strong>\u00a0also added that he feels that\u00a0Motley Crue<\/strong>\u00a0will be making an announcement at some point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
