The single marks the first release for SOTE<\/strong> under their new label deal with TLG \/ INgrooves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The familiar songwriting and guitars that permeates\u00a0Scum of the Earth’s<\/strong>\u00a0material is no coincidence; the alternative metal outfit is led by\u00a0Riggs<\/strong>, an in-your-face singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer who is best known for the six years he spent with\u00a0Rob Zombie. Riggs<\/strong>\u00a0joined forces with\u00a0Rob Zombie<\/strong>\u00a0in the ’90s and stayed with him into the early 2000s, eventually leaving in 2004 (when Rob Zombie was largely focusing on films rather than music) to start a project of his own.Riggs<\/strong>\u00a0songwriting and crunching guitars can be heard on\u00a0Rob Zombie’s<\/strong>\u00a0Hellbilly Deluxe<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0American Made Music To Strip By<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0The Sinister Urge<\/strong><\/em>, and the\u00a0Past, Present & Future<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0records. Named after a song from\u00a0Rob Zombie’s<\/strong>\u00a0Sinister Urge<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0Scum of the Earth<\/strong>\u00a0favors the sort of rhythmic, industrial-influenced, mildly funky, hip-hop-minded alternative metal that\u00a0Riggs<\/strong>\u00a0honed during the\u00a0Rob Zombie<\/strong>\u00a0days. The decadent, over-the-top sense of fun, a dark sense of humor, and a fascination with horror films, the Occult, B-movies, and sleaze is shared by\u00a0RIGGS<\/strong>. But in contrast to such groups as\u00a0Slayer<\/strong>\u00a0— who take their death metal outlook quite seriously —\u00a0Scum of the Earth’s<\/strong>\u00a0lyrics are very tongue-in-cheek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
