Australian thrash\/death-metal duo\u00a0BATTLEGRAVE<\/strong>\u00a0is now streaming their entire second album\u00a0\u201cCavernous Depths\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>a few days ahead of the release date this Friday,\u00a0July 22nd\u00a0on vinyl, CD and digital via\u00a0Bitter Loss Records<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Cavernous Depths” <\/strong>is now playing in its entirety at No Clean Singing<\/strong>, who commented “…this is an album you go to when you want to just let go of your mind, let it go wild, give it a spin in a turbocharged centrifuge of chaos \u2014 and get beat to a pulp while you do that. It\u2019s an extravagant spectacle, driven to heights of head-exploding excess by the brain-piercing, breathtaking solos, but astutely laced with slower, emotionally chilling diversions that provide a few necessary gulps of oxygen.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The follow-up to 2018\u2019s debut album \u201cRelics of a Dead Earth\u201d<\/strong> was recorded and produced by Julian Renzo<\/strong> at Legion Studio Productions (Harlott, Desecrator, Blackhelm, Decimatus)<\/strong> and mastered by Ermin Hamidovic<\/strong> at Systematic Productions (Plini, Cynic, Sylosis, Periphery, Architects)<\/strong>, and sees drummer 66Samus (Decrepit Birth, Goatwhore, Abigail Williams)<\/strong> joining the duo comprised of Clint Patzel<\/strong> (guitars, bass and keys) and Rohan Buntine<\/strong> (vocals and lyrics) in the studio, while all guitar leads were written and recorded by Daniel Mackie (Triple Kill)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battlegrave is a thrash\/death-metal project formed in late 2016 by Clint Patzel and Rohan Buntine, two great friends with a long-standing passion for metal music. It is an artistic outlet to create music together while honoring the aggressive thrash and death metal bands that the members grew up listening to. The original goal was to write one song, which turned into the \u201cTo Hell With War\u201d EP in 2017. After receiving strong reviews, the debut full-length \u201cRelics of a Dead Earth\u201d was written, recorded and self-released in November of 2018. The album also garnered some enthusiastic reactions and after more than three years, Battlegrave are back, and they sound more aggressive and furious than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
