Austrian Dark Metal outfit\u00a0KRANKHEIT<\/strong>\u00a0have\u00a0signed<\/strong>\u00a0a licensing deal\u00a0with Wormholedeath for their album “Gargantua”, which will be released on September 30th, 2022.<\/strong>After four years, two of them dominated by a pandemic and a challenging anniversary, with internal band restructuring,\u00a0KRANKHEIT are back with a new album. “Gargantua”<\/strong>, the successor to the third work “Zerberus”,\u00a0sings about the dark sides and abysses in a typical KRANKHEIT manner<\/strong>\u00a0and forms a mirror of the current events of our contemporary history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is named after the character Gargantua from the novels by Fran\u00e7ois Rabelais.<\/strong>\u00a0An insatiable giant who vomits in greed and gluttony on the people<\/strong>\u00a0and depicts a pastiche of them. KRANKHEIT manage to stay true to their trademarks and at the same time venture into new musical realms.\u00a0Martially driving guitar riffs as in “Kommunikation” reflect the usual catchy level of hardness of the band.<\/strong>\u00a0Lyrically, the most important and most burning topic of all at the moment is put to the test here in the programmatically titled piece.\u00a0Songs like “Gargantua” and “M\u00fcll” show that it’s becoming even more aggressive in general,<\/strong>\u00a0which are interspersed with\u00a0blast beats and shredding guitars.<\/strong>\u00a0With “Bett des Prokrustes” and “Ave Maria”<\/strong>\u00a0KRANKHEIT show again that they are masters of their craft and plant themselves excellently in\u00a0well-known classical compositions.<\/strong>\u00a0The symbiosis between classic and dark metal is extensively celebrated and driven to extremes by “Neid” with its brutal ending.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are\u00a0bluesy touches in \u201cExorzist\u201d<\/strong>,\u00a0to which Andres Vargas,<\/strong>\u00a0singer of the black metal band \u201cThy Antichrist\u201d,\u00a0lends his haunting voice.<\/strong>\u00a0The limits of the interpersonal relationship demons get a new face here. “Gargantua” takes the creation of KRANKHEIT to the next level and prepares the ground for an eventful and complex future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
