Thrash powerhouse Generation Kill<\/strong> released the official music video for single “Evil Eye”<\/strong> featuring Chris Poland. The single is from their new album, MKUltra<\/em><\/strong> that is out now via Blood Blast Distribution<\/strong> and Art Is War Records<\/strong>. The album guest features Gary Holt<\/strong> (Slayer\/Exodus), Chris Poland<\/strong> (Megadeth, Ohm), John Joseph<\/strong> (Cromags, Bloodclot), as well as, Grammy Award-winning pianist Ronnie King<\/strong> who guests on the final track “La Fin Du Monde.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn \u201985, I dropped the needle onto an album called \u201cKilling is my Business\u2026.and Business is Good\u201d and heard a guitar tone I\u2019d never heard before. Ever since, Chris Poland has been one of my favorite guitarists of all time. To collaborate with him on this song is one of the greatest honors in my musical career. The solos he did on this song are mind-blowing. The unique style and tone is so unmistakably Chris,” says Rob Dukes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He adds, “The song itself was inspired by a short story from Edgar Allan Poe “The Tell-Tale Heart” written in the 1800\u2019s. Our drummer Rob Youells connected us with the filmmaker Wacy Jahn, who he had worked with on a previous project, and Wacy used our vision to create nothing short of a horror masterpiece. We couldn\u2019t be prouder of this one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generation Kill<\/strong> is an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 2008 by Rob Dukes (ex-Exodus)<\/strong>. Dukes, on hiatus from touring with Exodus, wanted to funnel his excess creative energy and aggression into something new. After the inclusion of Jason Trenczer, Lou Lehman<\/strong> and Sam Inzerra<\/strong>, the band began writing and recording their first album, Red, White, & Blood<\/em><\/strong>, featuring several hit singles including, \u201cFeast for the Wolves\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cHate\u201d<\/strong> as well as a cover of Nine Inch Nails \u201cWish\u201d<\/strong> which enjoyed heavy radio rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to creative differences with Inzerra and the untimely death of guitarist Lou Lehman, Jay Velez and Jim DeMaria (Heathen) joined and began recording their sophomore album, We’re All Gonna Die<\/em><\/strong> with renowned producer Zuess (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed)<\/strong>. Shortly after its release, the band embarked on a European tour with fellow Exodus member Lee Altus\u2019 band, Heathen<\/strong>. The album spawned several successful singles, including \u201cProphets of War\u201d<\/strong> which went to number one on Sirius Liquid Metal\u2019s \u201cDirty Dozen\u201d<\/strong> and remained one of the top requested songs on the channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the success of their second album, drummer Rob Youells joined the band and they went into the studio, this time with Ron \u201cBumblefoot\u201d Thal<\/strong> to record an album with founding member of Run-D.M.C, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels<\/strong>. The project was initially titled DMC Generation Kill<\/strong> before becoming its own entity, later renamed Fragile Mortals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teaming up with Nick Bellmore (Hatebreed, Corpsegrinder), Generation Kill<\/strong> has finally released their long-awaited third full-length album, MKUltra<\/em><\/strong>. A powerful collection of songs, MKUltra<\/em><\/strong> incorporates everything an aficionado of the thrash metal genre has been longing to hear for the last decade: crunchy riffing, capturing melodies and killer solos mixed with brutal, thought-provoking lyrics.
