Thrash powerhouse\u00a0GENERATION KILL<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0have released the official lyric video for the single\u00a0“Dogs of War”<\/strong>\u00a0featuring\u00a0John Joseph<\/strong>\u00a0(Cromags, Bloodclot)<\/strong>. The single is from their new album,\u00a0MKUltra<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0that is out now via\u00a0Blood Blast Distribution<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Art Is War Records<\/strong>. The album guest features\u00a0Gary Holt<\/strong>\u00a0(Slayer\/Exodus),\u00a0Chris Poland<\/strong>\u00a0(Megadeth, Ohm),\u00a0John Joseph<\/strong>\u00a0(Cromags, Bloodclot), as well as, Grammy Award-winning pianist\u00a0Ronnie King<\/strong>\u00a0who guests on the final track\u00a0“La Fin Du Monde.”<\/strong>“‘Dogs of War’ was so much fun to write and create with the boys. I said I wanna song that John Joseph will sing on, so that’s what Jay Velez and the boys delivered. Then I wrote the lyrics, recorded it and then called John to ask if he will sing on the song. I sent him the track and then 10 minutes later, he called to say that he loved it, so we got him in the studio and he killed it! John has such a distinct voice and style that it just killed on this track. It’s such an honor to have one of the entire band’s hero on our album”<\/em>\u00a0says Rob Dukes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Joseph adds, “Generation Kill’s new record MKultra is fucking brutal on so many levels – hard riffs and lyrics that mean something. The pit is going to get extremely violent over this one.”Generation Kill<\/strong>\u00a0is an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 2008 by\u00a0Rob Dukes (ex-Exodus)<\/strong>. Dukes, on hiatus from touring with Exodus, wanted to funnel his excess creative energy and aggression into something new. After the inclusion of\u00a0Jason Trenczer, Lou Lehman<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sam Inzerra<\/strong>, the band began writing and recording their first album,\u00a0Red, White, & Blood<\/em><\/strong>, featuring several hit singles including,\u00a0\u201cFeast for the Wolves\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cHate\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0as well as a cover of\u00a0Nine Inch Nails \u201cWish\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which enjoyed heavy radio rotation.Due to creative differences with Inzerra and the untimely death of guitarist Lou Lehman, Jay Velez and Jim DeMaria (Heathen) joined and began recording their sophomore album,\u00a0We’re All Gonna Die<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0with renowned producer\u00a0Zuess (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after its release, the band embarked on a European tour with fellow Exodus member Lee Altus\u2019 band,\u00a0Heathen<\/strong>. The album spawned several successful singles, including\u00a0\u201cProphets of War\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which went to number one on\u00a0Sirius Liquid Metal\u2019s \u201cDirty Dozen\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and remained one of the top requested songs on the channel.Following the success of their second album, drummer Rob Youells joined the band and they went into the studio, this time with\u00a0Ron \u201cBumblefoot\u201d Thal<\/strong>\u00a0to record an album with founding member of\u00a0Run-D.M.C, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was initially titled\u00a0DMC Generation Kill<\/strong>\u00a0before becoming its own entity, later renamed\u00a0Fragile Mortals.<\/strong>Teaming up with\u00a0Nick Bellmore (Hatebreed, Corpsegrinder), Generation Kill<\/strong>\u00a0has finally released their long-awaited third full-length album,\u00a0MKUltra<\/em><\/strong>. A powerful collection of songs,\u00a0MKUltra<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0incorporates everything an aficionado of the thrash metal genre has been longing to hear for the last decade: crunchy riffing, capturing melodies and killer solos mixed with brutal, thought-provoking lyrics.
