Rome based cinematic horror prog\u00a0project\u00a0THE HORROR LEGACY\u00a0<\/strong>have signed to\u00a0Time To Kill Records\u00a0<\/strong>for the release of the debut album\u00a0“Days of Terror”<\/strong>, due out in\u00a0February 2022.<\/strong>

The album will contain new interpretations of the main themes of “28 Days Later”, “Cannibal Holocaust”, “The Thing”, “Tubular Bells”, “Zombie 2”, “Phantasm”, “Halloween”, “Inferno”, “Beyond The Darkness”, “Escape from New York”, among others.

The first single\u00a0“Inferno \/ Mater Tenebrarum”<\/strong>\u00a0is now premiering\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/strong>!

The band states:\u00a0“Everyone in the band is a big fan of progressive rock from the 70\u2019s. Among that kind of bands a special mention is reserved to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, whose keyboard player has been a source of inspiration for lots of musicians, as well as for composers. Keith Emerson was an accomplished soundtrack composer too, and his most famous work has been Dario Argento\u2019s ‘Inferno’.\u00a0Among the OST music the tracks that stand out are the main titles theme ‘Inferno’, based on sweet piano arpeggios that create an increasing and disturbing atmosphere, and ‘Mater Tenebrarum’, a march with a classical flavor dominated by a strong and fierce opera-esque choir that sings the praises of the ‘Mater Tenebrarum’, main character of the movie.\u00a0With the help of opera singers as guests, we have chosen to perform a medley of the mentioned tracks, adopting a modern and heavy arrangement more than the original recordings, yet keeping the spirit that permeates Emerson\u2019s creations intact”.<\/em>

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by\u00a0Giuseppe Ranieri<\/strong>,\u00a0Roberto Fasciani\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Titta Tani<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0MMI<\/strong>\u00a0Roma<\/strong>\u00a0Studio<\/strong>.

Many guests are involved: Maestro\u00a0Fabio<\/strong>\u00a0Frizzi<\/strong>, one of the greatest composers for horror movies, bassist\/keyboardist\u00a0Dave<\/strong>\u00a0Neabore<\/strong>\u00a0from American band\u00a0DOG<\/strong>\u00a0EAT<\/strong>\u00a0DOG<\/strong>, Japanese keyboardist\u00a0Mirai<\/strong>\u00a0Kawashima<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0SIGH<\/strong>\u00a0and former\u00a0NECROPHAGIA<\/strong>,\u00a0Stian<\/strong>\u00a0Smorholm<\/strong>\u00a0(aka\u00a0Iscariah<\/strong>), former bassist of Norwegian black metal band\u00a0IMMORTAL<\/strong>, and former\u00a0NECROPHAGIA<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0DEAD<\/strong>\u00a0TO<\/strong>\u00a0THIS<\/strong>\u00a0WORLD<\/strong>,\u00a0Chuck<\/strong>\u00a0Sherwood<\/strong>, bassist of\u00a0INCANTATION<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Dome<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0FULCI<\/strong>!

THE HORROR LEGACY<\/strong>\u00a0was born from an idea by\u00a0Giacomo Anselmi<\/strong>, guitarist for\u00a0Goblin Rebirth<\/strong>, and\u00a0Titta Tani<\/strong>, former drummer for\u00a0Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin<\/strong>\u00a0and American death metal band\u00a0Necrophagia<\/strong>, with the intention of creating\u00a0a cinematic visual experience.

Soon they were joined by bassist\u00a0Roberto Fasciani<\/strong>\u00a0(Fabio Frizzi<\/strong>) and keyboard player\u00a0Pasquale Renna<\/strong>.

The project’s\u00a0live show will take you in a two hour audio\/visual trip, with scenes and music from iconic movies such as “Caliber 9”, “Deep Red”, “Suspiria”, “Blade Runner”, “The Beyond”, “Rosemary’s Baby” and more.
