Canadian progressive sci-fi metal innovators kick off the campaign for their new studio album\u00a0Synchro Anarchy<\/em><\/strong>, scheduled for worldwide release on\u00a0February 11<\/strong>th<\/sup>, 2022<\/strong>\u00a0via Century Media Records.\u00a0To celebrate the announcement, the band have released their first single, \u201cPlanet Eaters<\/strong>\u201d, off\u00a0Synchro Anarchy<\/em>. VOIVOD drummer Michel \u201cAway\u201d Langevin commentS about the track and the video,\u00a0\u201cOn April 21<\/em>st<\/sup>, 2021 an animated video for the song \u201cNothingface\u201d popped up online (<\/em>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_uqv9G24YzI<\/a>). The video was done by Pierre Menetrier on an Amiga computer in 1991, which I thought was beyond cool. The spectacular imagery and visual effects were just perfect for a Vo\u00efvod song. After wrapping up the recording and mixing of the \u201cSynchro Anarchy\u201d album, we all agreed on \u201cPlanet Eaters\u201d as the first single\/video. We thought the song had a vintage \u201cNothingface\u201d\/\u201dHatr\u00f6ss\u201d vibe, so I immediately contacted Pierre and asked him if he could make a video for the song. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, the result is just mind-blowing. You just can\u2019t get more Vo\u00efvodian than that!\u201dSynchro Anarchy<\/em>\u00a0was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio \/\u00a0https:\/\/radicart.net\/<\/a>\u00a0in Qu\u00e9bec, Canada and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum\u00a0Mastering \/\u00a0http:\/\/www.maorappelbaum.com\/<\/a>\u00a0in California, U.S.A and was produced by VOIVOD. The album features cover artwork by VOIVOD\u2019s Michel \u201cAway\u201d Langevin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to the Jewelcase CD, LP and Digital Album formats,\u00a0Synchro Anarchy<\/em>\u00a0will also be available in a Deluxe edition as\u00a0Ltd. 2CD Mediabook and as Digital Album (2CD), containing\u00a0the special\u00a0Return To Morg\u00f6th – Live 2018<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0bonus disc, which features a full live-show recording of VOIVOD\u2019s 35th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary hometown appearance at the\u00a0Festival Jonqui\u00e8re En Musique from June 29th<\/sup>, 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
