CINDERELLA<\/strong> guitarist, Jeff LaBar<\/strong>, has passed away, according to his son, Sebastian LaBar<\/a><\/strong>. The band CINDERELLA<\/strong> never released another studio album after 1994’s “Still Climbing.” Jeff LaBar was 58 years old. The cause of death has yet to be revealed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Cinderella\u00a0was founded in Philadelphia, PA, in 1983 by singer\/songwriter\/guitarist\/keyboardist\u00a0Tom Keifer\u00a0(born January 26, 1961) and bassist\u00a0Eric Brittingham\u00a0(born May 8, 1960), who quickly added lead guitarist\u00a0Jeff LaBar\u00a0(born March 18, 1963). Guitarist\u00a0Michael Kelly Smith\u00a0and drummer\u00a0Tony Destra\u00a0were also early members of the band, but they left in 1985 to form\u00a0Britny Fox.\u00a0Cinderella\u00a0then added drummer\u00a0Jody Cortez\u00a0and continued as a four-piece. Insisting on playing original material, they performed in clubs and bars in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in 1985\u00a0Jon Bon Jovi\u00a0caught one of their shows. He was sufficiently impressed to alert his record company, Mercury, which signed the band. Their debut album,\u00a0Night Songs, was released in June 1986. Shortly after its completion,\u00a0Cortez\u00a0left the band and was replaced by\u00a0Fred Coury\u00a0(born October 20, 1964).” – All Music\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
