{"id":85304,"date":"2021-04-20T11:42:47","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T16:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=85304"},"modified":"2021-04-20T11:43:11","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T16:43:11","slug":"aborted-recording-new-album-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=85304","title":{"rendered":"ABORTED &#8211; Recording New Album"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Death metal and grindcore veterans\u00a0<strong>ABORTED<\/strong>\u00a0recently began the recording process for their next record and follow-up to 2020 EP,\u00a0<em>La Grande Mascarade<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Drum tracking was completed with engineer&nbsp;<strong>Zack Ohren<\/strong>&nbsp;(Machine Head, Entheos) in California, with drummer Ken Bedene sharing the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;When working on this record, we actually had the plan to jam with the band for a good week before tracking to really flesh out the songs. Well&#8230; we all know what happened last year, so we were left with the choice to wait or to try something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/abortedlogo1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  data-gnlv=\"hey\" src=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/abortedlogo1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85307\" width=\"441\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/abortedlogo1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/abortedlogo1-300x142.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 441px) 100vw, 441px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;I think all of us wanted to avoid the thought of &#8216;the pandemic is going to lessen our album quality&#8217;. Luckily for us, we&#8217;ve written music apart from each other for over 10 years now, so the writing process wasn&#8217;t too much of a change; recording, however, was a bit different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;As far as drums go, finding a studio, room, and an engineer who can work intense death metal is a must for us. We were fortunate enough to work with Zack Ohren and find a way to work around the pandemic to actually get a record that I think everyone will be insanely stoked on.
