Italian progressive\/melodic death\u00a0metallers\u00a0OCEANA<\/a><\/strong>, featuring\u00a0Novembre<\/strong>‘s guitarist\u00a0Massimiliano Pagliuso<\/strong>, are now unveiling the brand new lyric video for\u00a0“Violet”<\/strong>. The track can ben listened to via the official\u00a0Time To Kill Records<\/strong>\u00a0YouTube channel\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/strong>.

“Violet”<\/strong>\u00a0is featured in the band’s debut\u00a0album\u00a0“The Pattern”<\/strong>, out now via\u00a0Time To Kill Records<\/strong>.

OCEANA<\/strong>\u00a0also announced the addition of bassist\u00a0Francesco Bucci<\/strong>\u00a0(Stormlord<\/strong>,\u00a0Screamachine<\/strong>)\u00a0to their ranks.

“The Pattern”<\/strong>\u00a0was recorded at\u00a0Blue Noise Studios<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Massimiliano Pagliuso<\/strong>\u00a0and at\u00a0The Outer Sound Studios\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0Giuseppe Orlando<\/strong>. Mixing and mastering were handled by renowned Swedish producer\u00a0Dan Swan\u00f6\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0Unisound Studios AB<\/strong>.

The album evocative artwork is by\u00a0Travis Smith<\/strong>.

OCEANA<\/strong>\u00a0started in 1994 as the result of the friendship between\u00a0Massimiliano Pagliuso<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Alessandro “Sancho” Marconcini\u00a0<\/strong>(later joined by\u00a0Gianpaolo Caprino<\/strong>\u00a0in 1997). The intent was to mix progressive metal elements with European-style death doom. Influences, from a musical point of view, range from Edge Of Sanity to Katatonia, from Paradise Lost to Duran Duran, from Metallica to Dream Theater, in a very personal fusion of different genres and sounds.

After a first EP, dating back to 1996, the band returned to the studio in 2019 to record their first full-length album\u00a0“The Pattern”\u00a0<\/strong>(mixed and mastered by\u00a0Dan Swan\u00f6\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0Unisound Studios<\/strong>).\u00a0The music was then placed in the best artistic light possible thanks to the evocative artwork of\u00a0Travis Smith<\/strong>.

The band’s return to the scene also sees a change of logo by the great\u00a0Daniele Valeriani<\/strong>, an artist who has been able to perfectly represent the new creative style of the Roman band.
