It arrives alongside the release of their new album, \u201c<strong>Kill Grid<\/strong>\u201c. Frontman <strong>Knox Colby<\/strong> commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cThis song is lyrically self-explanatory. It\u2019s about the cluster bombing of Laos during the Vietnam War. The main focus of the lyrics are about the cultural impact that the unexploded ordnance (abbreviated UXO) has had over the last 50 years. Over 20,000 people have died accidentally from stepping on these bombs that are the size of a softball and scattered over the entire country, which is predominantly covered in dense jungle (last I checked, 35% of the country is still contaminated with UXO). It\u2019s an issue the United States has only recently owned up to, but the government won\u2019t apologize for; it\u2019s shameful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Guitarist <strong>Will Wagstaff<\/strong> added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cWhen this song was written I was listening to 2 specific songs on repeat. \u2018<strong>Dying<\/strong>\u2018 by <strong>Obituary<\/strong> and \u2018<strong>Corporal Jigsore Quandary<\/strong>\u2018 by <strong>Carcass<\/strong>. Both tracks are just so driving with the double bass and grooviness and I wanted to try to write something somewhat in that vein.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ENFORCED have unleashed an official music video for their song \u201cUXO\u201c.
