Finnish power metal band\u00a0METAL DE FACTO<\/strong>\u00a0celebrates the 1 year anniversary of their debut album\u00a0“Imperium Romanum”<\/strong>\u00a0with the release of a new five-track digital EP\u00a0“Legionnaires’ Oaths”\u00a0<\/strong>out now as of February 8th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EP features a studio and acoustic version of\u00a0“Legionnaires’ Oaths”,\u00a0<\/strong>which is off of 2019’s\u00a0“Imperium Romanum”\u00a0<\/strong>along with\u00a0three cover songs, Shakira\u2019s “Whenever Wherever” featuring Nitte Valo (Dreamtale, ex-Battle Beast), Type O Negative’s “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend” featuring Juha Kupiainen (De Lirium\u2019s Order) and Dohatsuten\u2019s “Ginga Densetsu Weed\u201d, the opening song to an anime series of the same name where the band\u2019s lead singer Mikael sang the song completely in Japanese!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I used to study as an exchange student in Japan and picked up some of the language back then. My good friend from those times Nikolas Kiili helped out with the pronunciations, and I think the end result turned out real epic with the choirs and everything!\u201d\u00a0<\/em>adds Mikael.\u00a0In addition to the EP’s release, the band is sharing a new acoustic music video for its title track, which was\u00a0filmed at the legendary Beaver Bar in Helsinki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The bar is very well known to most metalheads in the Helsinki area, and it served as a perfect setting for the tavern-like feel we were looking for this acoustic music video!\u201d <\/em>comments the band\u2019s lead singer Mikael Salo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
