The cut is titled \u201c<strong>Driven To Disaster<\/strong>\u201d and can be heard <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/decibelmagazine\/the-crown-driven-to-disaster-db123\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>, as well as on the flexi disc included with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.decibelmagazine.com\/collections\/back-issues\/products\/march-2021-197\">this issue of\u00a0<strong>Decibel<\/strong><\/a>. Notably, this particular track will not appear on the band\u2019s new studio album, \u201c<strong>Royal Destroyer<\/strong>\u201c, which is slated for a March 12th release on\u00a0<strong>Metal Blade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;From their inauspicious origins within a very crowded extreme music scene, Sweden&#8217;s\u00a0Crown\u00a0slowly rose to the very top of the Scandinavian death metal class. Interestingly, throughout this gradual but inexorable climb, the members of\u00a0the Crown\u00a0didn&#8217;t distinguish themselves for bringing innovations to the genre so much as for their unapologetic commitment to pure, unadulterated, lightning-fast, ear-shredding, Satan-worshiping death metal. &#8220;Crown of Thorns,&#8221; as they were originally named, formed in the city of Trollhattan, Sweden, circa 1990. Slowly developing their craft over the next few years, singer\u00a0Johan Lindstrand, guitarists\u00a0Marko Tervonen\u00a0and Robert \u00d6sterberg, bassist\u00a0Magnus Olsfelt, and drummer\u00a0Janne Saarenp\u00e4\u00e4\u00a0eventually recorded a demo in 1993 with the mission statement-like title of Forever Heaven Gone.&#8221; &#8211; All Music\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new track by\u00a0THE CROWN\u00a0has made its debut.
