Sad news to report. POWER TRIP<\/strong>\u00a0vocalist\u00a0Riley Gale<\/strong>\u00a0has passed away. His death was announced in a statement issued by his family earlier today. He was only 35 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dear POWER TRIP<\/strong> fans worldwide,” the statement reads. “It is with the greatest of sadness we must announce that our lead singer and brother Riley Gale<\/strong> passed away last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Riley<\/strong> was a friend, a brother, a son. Riley<\/strong> was both a larger than life rock star and a humble and giving friend. He touched so many lives through his lyrics and through his huge heart. He treated everyone he met as a friend and he always took care of his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We will celebrate Riley<\/strong>‘s life and never forget the great works of music, charity, and love that he left behind. You, the fans, meant so much to him, please know how special you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If you have a memory of Riley<\/strong> please share it, no matter how small, as we remember him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Please respect our wishes for privacy during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hailing from Dallas,\u00a0POWER TRIP<\/strong>‘s most recent touring lineup consisted of\u00a0Gale<\/strong>, guitarists\u00a0Nick Stewart<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Blake Ibanez<\/strong>, bassist\u00a0Chris Whetzel<\/strong>\u00a0and drummer\u00a0Chris Ulsh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
