Los Angeles CA extreme metal quartet DIESEL MACHINE<\/strong> have launched their long awaited new album, \u2018Evolve\u2019<\/strong>, with the release of the digital advance single, \u2018React\u2019<\/strong>, out now. Produced by the band and mixed and mastered by Chris Collier<\/strong> (KORN<\/strong>, PRONG<\/strong>, KXM<\/strong>), \u2018Evolve\u2019<\/strong> marks DIESEL MACHINE<\/strong>\u2019s return after a 20-year absence and the release of their debut, \u2019Torture Test\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally founded when members of L.A.\u2019s WORLD IN PAIN<\/strong> and ELEVENTH HOUR<\/strong> converged under the nameDIESEL<\/strong> in 1996, the band eventually settled into a four-piece line-up consisting of vocalist AJ Cavalier<\/strong>, guitaristPat Lachman<\/strong>, drummer Shane Gaalaas<\/strong>, and bassist Rich Gonzales<\/strong> on \u2018Torture Test\u2019<\/strong>. The band shared local bills with the likes of Crowbar<\/strong>, Prong<\/strong>, and System Of A Down<\/strong> and toured with Static-X<\/strong> before grinding to a halt in the wake of Rich Gonzales<\/strong>\u2019 near fatal motorcycle accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lachman<\/strong>\u00a0experienced high-profile stints with\u00a0HALFORD<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Pantera<\/strong>\u00a0spinoff\u00a0DAMAGEPLAN<\/strong>\u00a0before forming\u00a0THE MERCY CLINIC<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0BURN IT ALL<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Cavalier<\/strong>\u00a0was recruited to front\u00a0SOIL<\/strong>\u00a0with whom he recorded\u00a0\u2018True Self\u2019<\/strong>(2006) and\u00a0\u2018Picture Perfect\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0(2009).\u00a0\u00a0Gaalaas<\/strong>\u00a0joined Japanese rock superstars\u00a0B\u2019z<\/strong>\u00a0for multiple albums and stadium tours and powered acclaimed LA prog metal trio\u00a0COSMOSQUAD<\/strong>\u00a0in addition to recording several solo albums.\u00a0 A convalescing\u00a0Gonzales<\/strong>\u00a0would find his way back into music with\u00a0AMERICAN AFTERMATH<\/strong>\u00a0which also featured\u00a0Kyng<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0Eddie Veliz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
