DOPE<\/strong> frontman Edsel Dope<\/strong> has totally slammed former Static-X<\/strong> guitarist Tripp Eisen<\/strong>. Edsel<\/strong>‘s statement follows Eisen<\/strong>\u2018s recent press release<\/a>, in which he claimed to have been instrumental in the ongoing Static-X<\/strong> reunion which resulted in last week\u2019s release of a new album, \u201cProject Regeneration, Vol. 1<\/strong>\u201c. That album saw new songs constructed around various previously unreleased recordings from the band\u2019s late frontman Wayne Static.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edsel<\/strong> has long been rumored to be the current frontman of Static-X<\/strong> known as \u2018Xer0<\/strong>\u2018. In his press release, Eisen<\/strong> claims to have brought Edsel<\/strong> into the fold for that very role. Eisen<\/strong>  also revealed in his press release that he took issue with his share of the writing credits for a handful of the songs featured on \u201cProject Regeneration, Vol. 1<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He went on to state that he took legal action against the band last spring after being unhappy with the changes they made to songs he was originally involved in writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to Eisen<\/strong>\u2018s statement, Edsel<\/strong> opened up via social media today (July 14th) on Eisen<\/strong>\u2018s, relationship with Wayne Static<\/strong> and Eisen<\/strong>\u2018s criminal past, which included charges related to having sex with 14-year-old girl which saw him fired from Static-X<\/strong> back in 2005. Eisen<\/strong> went to prison for those charges. Notably, Eisen<\/strong> was also previously a member of Dope<\/strong> prior to joining Static-X<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edsel’<\/strong>s statement reads as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have not progressed in the least bit. Not even after spending 2 separate stints in jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are an antagonist, who paints himself as a victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all of that, you have managed to gather roughly 1,000 followers in TOTAL\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
