The clip can be viewed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Frontwoman Vicky Psarakis comments on the origins of Orphans: &#8220;The story behind &#8216;Orphans&#8217; was inspired by the novel &#8216;We Have Always Lived in the Castle&#8217; by Shirley Jackson. It emphasizes the feeling of &#8216;not belonging&#8217; and the social and physical isolation that comes as a result of that. Even though we&#8217;ve all felt like outcasts at some point in our lives, it&#8217;s important to remember that we&#8217;re never truly alone and that there&#8217;s always someone there for you. We&#8217;re all &#8216;orphans&#8217;, but we&#8217;re in this life together.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">THE AGONIST have created an uncomfortable yet addictive setting for their metal, like being awoken from a bad dream, or falling asleep to escape a nightmarish reality. On the back of their debut album, THE AGONIST has completed several North American tours alongside a variety of bands including Sonata Arctica, Overkill, Enslaved, Arsis, God Forbid, Epica, The Faceless, Doro, After Forever, etc. and thus managed to build a solid, devoted fan base who loyally supports the music, the message, or both.
