The Story Of Anvil&#8221; has been cancelled. It was to include the new recording, &#8216;Thumb Hang&#8217;. However, a soundtrack will be released in North America and Japan. The tracklisting will be different and will include newly recorded versions of Anvil classics. More news will be revealed soon.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAnvil are officially confirmed to open for AC\/DC&#8217;s August 6th date in Moncton, NB at Magnetic Hill. Anvil will also open for the legendary Aussie rockers on July 28 in Boston and July 31 in New Jersey.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIn a recent interview with the Download Festival, Anvil frontman Lips updated fans on the band&#8217;s new material: &#8220;The new album we\u2019ve got coming out is called Juggernaut Of Justice,\u201d said Lips. \u201cWe\u2019re not sure on a release date, but it\u2019s already been written and recorded.&#8221;<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAnvil has been in the spotlight recently with the release of the critically acclaimed documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe directorial debut of screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, the film follows Steve &#8216;Lips&#8217; Kudlow, Robb Reiner and the rest of Anvil as they continue to follow their dream of achieving fame and fortune after more than 30 years.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe DVD is scheduled to be released in North America on October 6th, 2009.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.anvilthemovie.com\/\">http:\/\/www.anvilthemovie.com\/<\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UK release of the soundtrack for &#8220;ANVIL!
