Drummer Dave Lombardo<\/strong> is a man of many projects and even while in quarantine, he is adding another to his resume. The ex-Slayer<\/strong> percussionist recently got out of the studio with both Mr. Bungle<\/strong> for their re-recording of their early \u2018The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny<\/strong>\u201d and a new studio album from Dead Cross<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While those records are both in post-production, Lombardo<\/strong> has been enlisted by his Dead Cross<\/strong> bandmate Justin Pearson<\/strong> (also of The Locust<\/strong>, etc. fame) and Luke Henshaw<\/strong> (Planet B<\/strong>, etc.) for a new industrial-themed project dubbed Satanic Planet<\/strong>. Lombardo<\/strong> recently told Rolling Stone<\/a> of that undertaking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe name of it is Satanic Planet<\/strong>. It\u2019s with Justin Pearson<\/strong>, who\u2019s in Dead Cross<\/strong> as well. And Luke Henshaw<\/strong>, who he works with pretty closely. And Luke<\/strong> also worked on some of the remixes that we featured on our EP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And some of the vocals are done by the head of the Satanic Temple. This is through his affiliation with Justin<\/strong>, so they decided to create an album that\u2019s kind of influenced by Anton LaVey\u2019s early album that he recorded of one of his Black Masses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we took influence from that. What was supposed to be one song ended up being the whole record. They liked what I did and so I\u2019ve been tackling that nightly. I usually start around midnight and go till around three in the morning [laughs].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But yeah, it\u2019s kind of cool; it\u2019s fun. Like I said, it\u2019s been keeping me busy. And other little odd-and-end jobs that I\u2019ve been doing.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
