Now the band has finally completed work on the release, produced by <strong>Steve Evetts<\/strong> (Every Time I Die, Poison The Well) and is slated to be out later this year via <strong>Napalm Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Frontman Dez Fafara had the following to say on Friday via social media:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;This morning at 2am we turned in all the music and art for DevilDriver&#8217;s double record, over 2 years in the making! Now&#8230; I can breathe, what a nice weekend this will be and I was greeted with rain this am as well for the win!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">A punishing groove and melodic death metal unit based out of Santa Barbara, California, DevilDriver originally operated under the moniker Deathride, before a copyright issue forced them to adopt a new name. Co-founded by Coal Chamber vocalist Dez Fafara, who remains the group lone original member, the band debuted in 2002, but didn&#8217;t truly catch fire until the release of 2007&#8217;s Last Kind Words, which heralded a string of high-charting albums like Pray for Villains (2009), Winter Kills (2013), and Trust No One (2016).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Six months ago, DEVILDRIVER finished tracking their next record, a double album.
