SLIPKNOT<\/strong> have issued a statement in which they’ve revealed why they did not be perform today (Sunday, December 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Slipknot were not able to perform at last night’s Knotfest. Security barricades became an issue, and it was decided that for the safety of the fans, neither Slipknot or special guests Evanescence could take the stage. We had hoped to be able to perform today, but regrettably, a situation arose onstage after the cancellation that damaged or destroyed gear that would have been necessary to play. We are extremely disappointed that we did not get the chance to perform, but the safety of our fans and our community is our biggest priority. We will look to get back to Mexico sometime in the future.”

According to Lambgoat site<\/a>: “Slipknot were forced to cancel their headlining performance last night at Knotfest Mexico as the result of safety concerns. Earlier in the day fans had broken through the barricade, ultimately destroying a portion of Evanescence’s gear, and the barricade was not properly repaired prior to Slipknot and Evanescence performing.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slipknot issued the following statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Because of a broken barricade and failed attempts to fix it, Slipknot were forced to cancel our performance last night. Safety \u2014 especially the safety of our fans and fellow bands \u2014 is priority number one. We apologize profusely and hope you all understand. If anything were to happen to any of you, we wouldn’t forgive ourselves. Also, if we could have fixed the barricade correctly, we would have gone on stage. Again, we hope you all understand and we will try to make it up to you as soon as we can.”
According to festival organizers, Slipknot will perform today (Sunday) as part of Force Fest 2019, if, of course, attendees behave appropriately:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Due to issues of \nsafety, the Slipknot show will not be possible today. If everyone is \npeaceful and orderly, Slipknot will play tomorrow for all of you. We \nregret the inconvenience, and again this is for your safety.
